Hughes backs strikers
MARK Hughes has brushed off his strikers' blank pre-season goal tally - and says he is more concerned about getting his defence right. The Blues made it one win from five warm-up games by losing 3-2 at Rangers last night, the goals coming from midfield men Stevie Ireland and Martin Petrov, who have also scored their two other goals so far.
