Hughes admits selection dilemma

Manchester City boss Mark Hughes has revealed he faces tough decisions now his squad has nearly returned to full-strength. The Blues take on Martin O'Neill's Aston Villa on Monday, and with Emmanuel Adebayor returning after a three-match suspension, Hughes has a number of options up front. Roque Santa Cruz returned against West Ham, while winger Martin Petrov and Carlos Tevez also caught the eye against the Hammers, and Hughes admits he has a few tough calls to make. "I am going to have lots of options but it is a good problem to have," he said. "We have good players playing well and good players still to come back. Now it is down to me to make sure I pick the right options for the right opposition." City have made their best start in the league since 1961, winning five of their six opening matches, and Hughes is hoping they can go from strength to strength. "It is exciting because people can see what we are capable of," he added. "We are in decent shape and things seem to be falling into place. We are playing well - with confidence. "I am absolutely convinced we will produce even higher quality football because of the quality we already have and the quality that will be available to us in the future." With the likes of Robinho and Vincent Kompany also expected to return to action in the next month, Hughes' selection choices do not get any easier. Meanwhile, Togo international Adebayor faces an improper conduct charge on Thursday in relation to his controversial goal celebration against former club Arsenal in early September.
