Hatem Ben Arfa suffers suspected broken leg at Manchester City

Hatem Ben Arfa could miss the rest of the season after breaking his leg against Manchester City.[LNB]The Newcastle midfielder was taken straight to hospital in a waiting ambulance after being carried off on a stretcher at Eastlands.[LNB]Ben Arfa was the victim of a strong challenge from City's Nigel de Jong in the opening stages of Sunday's Barclays Premier League encounter.[LNB] Nightmare: Hatem Ben Arfa is carried off against Man City at Eastlands[LNB]He was given oxygen on the field before being rushed away from the ground to Manchester Royal Infirmary.[LNB]Newcastle later confirmed the injury to be a broken tibia and fibula of Ben Arfa's left leg.[LNB]A club statement read: 'He will undergo surgery tomorrow morning.
