Hamburg v Man City Live!
So you City fans have been getting in touch and you feel that tough decisions need to made for the second leg. George Thorp from Cheshire thinks that Robinho needs to be dropped for the return while Chris Ireland is just feeling sorry for Shay Given. Your right without him it would have been a lot worse tonight.[LNB]93 Last chance for City with a free-kick but the referee doesn't give them time to take it as he blows for full-time.[LNB]92 The hosts keep the free-kick short but that doesn't stop Aogo from driving low from distance and making Given tip the ball wide for a corner.[LNB]91 Jarolim goes down the left and wins a free-kick but Dunne brings him down.[LNB]90 Robinho opens up and tries to find Ireland through on goal but his long ball is cut out. He should have picked the midfielder out.[LNB]90 The referee has indicated that there will be three added minutes. Eventually he finds Robinho but his touch lets him down. The referee waves away the protests but replays show the ball wasn't played.[LNB]69 PITROIPA The winger is booked for cynically fouling Wright-Phillips.[LNB]68 City are hanging on and Garrido has nearly put into his own net when clearing from underneath his own cross bar.[LNB]67 Trochowski is causing City problems again and his inswinging ball from the left is well held by Given.[LNB]66 City can't get their foot on the ball. They've got to be careful this tie doesn't slip from their grasp.[LNB]65 The home side are on a role and Jansen steps in to win the ball but his left foot shot from 25 yards is just wide of Given's left hand post.[LNB]63 TROCHOWSKI The midfielder steps up and finds the bottom right hands corner.[LNB]63 The corner is deep and headed back across goal Jarolim hits it with his back to goal but his effort is closed down by Richards who's arms are outstretched over his head. He bides his time and fires in a cross low and hard but Dunne clears.[LNB]60 Hamburg cause more problems from set pieces as Trochowski's corner is met by Pitroipa at the near post but the ball is cleared off the line by Wright-Phillips.[LNB]59 Wright-Phillips has City's first shot on goal of the second half but Rost saves and holds onto the ball diving to his left.[LNB]58 OLIC The striker is booked for his response to the referee awarding a free-kick against him when he was set to go through on goal.[LNB]57 Hamburg have some more sustained pressure but City deal with the crosses from either flank well.[LNB]56 BELLAMY The striker is booked for a foul on Jarolim. But Bellamy's return pass to the Irishman is sniffed out by Aogo.[LNB]41 Jansen plays in Trochowski down the left but Zabaleta tracks the run and the ball goes out for a corner.[LNB]40 Another City move breaks down as Wright-Phillips gives the ball away. Chance for Hamburg to break.[LNB]39 TROCHOWSKI Poor challenge from the midfielder as he jumps into Dunne when the ball is in the air.[LNB]38 City have a free-kick in their own half but it is wasted as the ball runs out for a throw-in on the right hand side level with the penalty area.[LNB]37 Olic chases down a lost cause and somehow manages to wrap his left foot around the ball to cross but no one is in the area. City escape again.[LNB]36 The home supporters seem to getting irritated by some of the referees decisions as the half closes out.[LNB]35 We have a rare moment to catch out breath as City get a free-kick in the right-back position as Richards is fouled.[LNB]34 This game is end to end and it's City's turn to attack but Bellamy's cross from the left is just too long for Sturridge at the back post.[LNB]33 Hamburg again highlight how dangerous they can be on the counter attack as Olic is inches away from Pitroipa's defence splitting pass in the area.[LNB]32 The corner is crossed in from the left and Dunne rises well but his goalbound header is cleared.[LNB]31 The visitors break again and Sturridge lets loose from the edge of the area but his shot is deflected for a corner.[LNB]30 Wright-Phillips sniffs out the danger as Hamburg look to break down the right but Trochowski finds room and whips in a low cross left footed but Given gathers with Petric looming.[LNB]29 City seem to have settled and are now keeping possession well but here come Hamburg.[LNB]28 City come forward again as Richards feeds Wright-Phillips down the right. The winger whips in a ball and Sturridge rises above the defence but his header goes well over.[LNB]27 City break as Wright-Phillips finds Sturridge in space on the left hand side of the area.
