Fulham have reportedly made a £2.25million move for Getafe striker Ikechukwu Uche. But the Barclays Premier League club have been told they must at least double the offer to land a player also coveted by Sevilla and Real Zaragoza. The 25-year-old Nigeria international is seen as a bright prospect and Getafe president Angel Torres is understood to be ready to accept a bid of about £5.2m, despite publicly setting his value at closer to £8m. Zaragoza were thought to be close to a deal last week but Sevilla have stepped up their interest and see him as a replacement for Uruguay striker Javier Chevanton, who has been released. Sevilla are also braced to lose Brazil star Luis Fabiano, who is wanted by AC Milan and has also been linked to Manchester United. Fulham boss Roy Hodgson has looked at a number of attacking reinforcements and, after appearing to miss out on Celtic-bound Nancy striker Marc-Antoine Fortune, must turn his attentions elsewhere. With Bobby Zamora in line for a £2m exit to Hull City, they have also been linked to Wisla Krakow striker Pawel Brozek, Portsmouth's Peter Crouch and Manchester City's Benjani, who is also on Stoke City and former club Pompey's radar. Fulham today lost 2-1 at Gold Coast United in Queensland. Danny Murphy scored the opener in the 16th minute with a curling free-kick nearly 30 yards out. Fulham's Australian goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer had little difficulty handling some long-range shots before he was replaced by Pascal Zuberbuhler after half time. And Gold Coast scored twice in the last 10 minutes through  Brazilian forward Milson and New Zealand international striker Shane Smeltz. Fulham will play Melbourne Victory and Perth Glory in later matches on their tour of Australia.
