The Blues dominated in the capital and deservedly picked up the victory that puts them just three points behind leaders Chelsea. Roberto Mancini's side were on top from the fifth minute when Carlos Tevez neatly turned Carlos Salcido and fired past Fulham keeper Mark Schwarzer. Aleksandr Kolarov went close before they doubled their advantage in the 33rd minute when Pablo Zabaleta thundered in a stunning strike from the edge of the box. And just three minutes later, David Silva, Jo and Tevez combined cleverly to release Yaya Toure to finish smartly in the corner. It prompted ironic chants of 'Boring, boring City' from the jubilant fans, who had travelled down to London. Fulham started the second half strongly but it was the Blues, who got on the scoresheet with a second for Tevez in front of his former Argentina boss Diego Maradona. Tevez should have scored when he was put clean through by Silva but Schwarzer made a smart save. From the resulting corner, Zabaleta hit another fierce shot that the striker deflected in for his ninth goal of the season. Fulham did manage a consolation in the 71st minute when Zoltan Gera diverted a shot past Joe Hart.
