Hot property: Pep Guardiola
Pep Guardiola has received offers from six leading European clubs, according to Josep Maria Orobitg, the Barcelona coach's agent.
Guardiola's current contract ends in June and he is reluctant to commit himself until after the Catalan club's elections this summer.
Manchester United are said to be interested in Guardiola as a possible successor to Sir Alex Ferguson while one source said City are prepared to offer him £7 million a year as their 'super-manager.'
Lawyer Orobitg confirmed: 'We have received six offers from clubs interested in Guardiola but absolute discretion prevents me from giving details.'
Juventus and Inter Milan are likely to be among those chasing Guardiola who is known to be a lover of Italy.
But Guardiola speaks excellent English and is also a huge admirer of the commitment and atmosphere in the Barclays Premier League, and likes the amount of control that managers are given.
Under Guardiola Barcelona won all six trophies available to them last year, including the Champions League when they beat United in the final.
They are on the verge of offering him a new two-year deal with the option of a third.
His salary would be greatly increased from his current level of £1m a year and he may even be offered a clause allowing him to walk away in the summer if he is not happy with the winner of the presidential election.
