Inter Milan striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has revealed he would welcome a move to Barcelona if the two clubs reach an agreement. Barcelona president Joan Laporta last night claimed a deal had been struck to send the Swedish striker to the European champions after spending the past few days in negotiations with his Inter counterpart Massimo Moratti. Winger Alexander Hleb is also reported to be a part of the deal with the Belorussian joining on a season-long loan. Ibrahimovic has maintained he would be content to remain at the San Siro, where he still has a contract and has spent the past five seasons. Speaking from Inter's pre-season trip to the USA, the 27-year-old said he was not looking to engineer a move to Spain, but admitted he would welcome joining the European champions if a deal was concluded. "There's a chance that I'll go to Barcelona if a concrete offer is made. In this case it would be interesting for me," he told Swedish tabloid Expressen. "It's up to Inter to decide what they want to do. I respect my contract. I do my job and am happy to be here." While Laporta last night said a deal had been struck, he did also indicate the clubs were still waiting on Eto'o to agree a move to Inter. "I can't say that it will still happen if one of the conditions isn't fulfilled since the signing has been agreed in a comprehensive manner," he said. "I spoke with Samuel on Tuesday and after the dinner in Italy. "I'm not going to disclose these conversations. I'll only say that his move is not a question of money. "He is a professional and his work has to be rewarded, but his priority is not money. It's other things." Manchester City dropped out of the race to sign Eto'o after growing tired of the Barcelona striker’s failure to respond to their stunning offer of £180,000 a week after tax.
