Fifa probe Manchester City signing of Jeremy Helan from Rennes
Manchester City have become the latest Premier League club to face scrutiny over the acquisition of a young player.
The English side have been referred to FIFA by French club Rennes over the signing of Jeremy Helan.
The 17-year-old joined City in 2008, but the French side say they had no contact with the club before Helan's move to Eastlands.
Last week, Chelsea were banned from registering players during the next two transfer windows as punishment for inducing Gael Kakuta to come to London.
