Bellamy, like Given, arrived at Eastlands in the winter transfer window, with manager Mark Hughes hopeful the additions will ensure the club climbs the Premier League table.
City have improved of late, winning four of their last six Premier League games, while Bellamy has netted in both of his appearances at the City of Manchester Stadium.
And Given has praised his former Newcastle United team-mate's confrontational style.
The shot-stopper said in The Sun: "When we were at Newcastle we had a spat down the tunnel once.
"But you know what he's like, always complaining about something. It's just the way he is.
"Craig's a fiery character and you want that from people on the pitch. He demands the best of all the players which is a good trait to have.
"He demands people give their all and I think that's a good thing. I'd much prefer him on my team than on the opposition."
