Fernandes closes in on QPR takeover as West Ham reject £4m bid for Parker

The takeover of QPR by airline tycoon Tony Fernandes was close to completion on Wednesday night but the club's ?4million bid for West Ham's Scott Parker is expected to be rejected. [LNB][LNB]The big-spending French club have offered ?2.5million for Wright-Phillips, who is also wanted by Bolton, Stoke and Wigan. [LNB]However, QPR have also followed up their enquiry for City's Nedum Onuoha with a ?3million offer for the defender and have bid ?4m for West Ham midfielder Scott Parker ahead of expected new investment from Tony Fernandes. [LNB]Blackburn and Everton remain keen on Onuoha also. [LNB]Wright-Phillips would prefer to stay in the north-west but knows he would get better wages as PSG.
