Micah Richards welcomed his return to the England squad but admitted that he still has no idea why he was 'frozen out' during Fabio Capello's four-year reign.[LNB]The Manchester City defender only earned one cap under Capello when he played half a game in a friendly with France in November 2010. [LNB] Last outing: Micah Richards won his 12th England cap against France[LNB]Richards, 23, was an unused squad member in the final Euro 2012 qualifier against Montenegro in October, but insists that he was only there because of an injury to one of Capello's 'favourites' in Glen Johnson.[LNB]But after he was named in Stuart Pearce's first squad for next week's international against Holland, Richards has been given fresh hope that he can add to his 12 caps and represent his country in Poland and Ukraine this summer.[LNB]'If I was to get on the plane now I'd be the proudest man,' he said. 'To be frozen out of your international side is hard to take sometimes. I got asked this about a month ago when Capello was still in charge and I said 'never say never'.[LNB]'Obviously I didn't get a chance under him. I don't know for what reason though. I always asked the question but I never got answer. He had his favourites. He liked Glen Johnson and Kyle Walker, and sometimes you've got to just take it on the chin if the manager fancies someone else. You have to deal with it.[LNB]'Glen Johnson was injured (for the Montenegro game). It was me and Kyle Walker, but I wasn't even on the bench in that game. I was probably there because someone was injured not because he wanted me there.'
