Eto'o rules out Barca exit
Samuel Eto'o insists his future is at Barcelona and plans to discuss a new contract at Camp Nou at the end of the season.[LNB] The Cameroon striker has a year remaining on his current deal and has been linked with a summer move to Manchester City.[LNB]Moneybags City have denied holding talks regarding a possible transfer, while Premier League rivals Chelsea and Liverpool have also been credited with an interest.[LNB]However, Eto'o is adamant he wants to stay with the Primera Liga leaders and does not expect any problems in agreeing an extension.[LNB]"My future is at Barca," Eto'o told the Hora Q programme on TV3. "That is clear for me at this moment.[LNB]"If I wasn't happy where I am, I would already have told [Joan Laporta].[LNB]"If it was up to him, we would already have sat down to discuss the issue, but because of what's at stake for us and out of respect for my colleagues, now is not the time to talk about wages or whether I will stay on for another five or six years.[LNB]"When the season finishes and everything goes well, Pep [Guardiola] will tell me that he's happy with me and go to talk to [Laporta]."[LNB]ConvincedEto'o is hoping for a positive end to the campaign, with Barca four points clear of closest rivals Real Madrid in La Liga ahead of Saturday's 'El Clasico'.[LNB]Barca also head to Chelsea for the second leg of the UEFA Champions League semi-final next week, with the tie locked at 0-0 and Eto'o is hoping for goals.[LNB]He added: "I am convinced that we will have a sensational end to the season. It is possible to win the Champions League and La Liga.[LNB]"We go to Madrid with a four-point advantage and with the sole objective of winning. If we win in the Bernabeu, Real will be hurt.[LNB]"Against Chelsea we deserved another result, but 0-0 is not so negative. Next week in London a game with goals is sufficient for us, but we want a big win."[LNB]The prolific forward was substituted during the second half of the first leg with Chelsea, but Eto'o accepts the decision of coach Pep Guardiola.[LNB]"My substitution against the Blues was not pleasant for me, but I accept the decisions of the coach," he continued.[LNB]"Guardiola has changed the mentality of this squad because he is a person who is very close to his players."[LNB]
