[LNB]Adebayor showed his willingness to make it happen by taking a cut from his £148,000-a-week wage deal at City. [LNB]A Real statement read: 'Real Madrid and Manchester City have reached a deal that will see Emmanuel Adebayor play on loan. The player will remain at Real Madrid until the end of thecurrentseason, at which point the club hold a unilateral option to purchase the player.' [LNB]The Spaniards, who have also been linked with Atletico Madrid's Sergio Aguero, returned for Adebayor afterbeing unable to persuade Hamburg to allow Ruud van Nistelrooy to return to the Bernabeu.[LNB]Adebayor joined Arsenal from Monaco for £7m in January 2006 and moved on to City three years later for around £25m. [LNB] Initial success: Adebayor ran the length of the pitch to celebrate in front of Arsenal's fans after hitting the thrid goal in City's tempestuous 4-2 win over the Gunners in September 2009[LNB]But he has become surplus to requirements, starting only two Premier League games this season, and has cut a disenchanted figure after training ground bust-ups and a fall-out with Roberto Mancini over his attitude in training. [LNB]City, meanwhile, are continuing to monitor Dani Alves's situation at Barcelona and have not given up on Espanyol centre half Victor Ruiz. [LNB]Barcelona coach Pep Guardiola signalled he was ready to sanction Alves's sale to City yesterday with contract talks far from resolved.
