Elano eyes City return

Elano is expected to be fit for Manchester City's final game of the season against Bolton. The Brazilian was forced out of Saturday's 2-1 defeat at Tottenham after suffering a bizarre injury midway through the first half. He was accidentally poked in the eye and could not continue, although it now appears there has been no serious damage. Elano has been in fine form in recent weeks and on Monday collected an award for the club's Player of the Month for April. With his eye still slightly bloodshot, Elano told the guests: "I love to score goals for Manchester City." The 27-year-old's season will continue after the weekend as he has been called up by Brazil for the Confederations Cup in South Africa.
