Manchester City have joined the race to sign Eden Hazard after Roberto Mancini made a personal scouting visit to France on Sunday night.[LNB]The City manager watched the coveted Belgium international score in Lille's emphatic 4-0 victory against Valenciennes - a week after rival United boss Sir Alex Ferguson was in the stands to monitor the 21-year-old.[LNB] One to watch: Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini watched Eden Hazard in action against Valenciennes[LNB]Last week, Spurs chief Harry Redknapp publicly revealed his admiration for the forward, hinting chairman Daniel Levy is ready to fund a summer bid for the player rated at ?35million by the French high-flyers.[LNB] In demand: Hazard celebrates his goal in Lille's 4-0 victory[LNB]But City seemingly do not want Hazard to slip through the net and the Belgian admitted after the match that he was aware Italian Mancini was watching him.[LNB]'I was aware that Roberto Mancini was there,' Hazard told French TV station Canal+.[LNB]'The manager (Rudi Garcia) told me... I wasn't thinking about it. I was trying to play to the best of my abilities.[LNB]'We'll see later. I'm concentrating on Lille this season.'[LNB]Hazard has previously declared he was 'flattered' by interest from champions United after Ferguson's visit and has also stated Spurs would be a good club to join.[LNB] Centre of attention: Hazard's team-mates congratulate him after his strike[LNB]Lille are resigned to losing Hazard at the end of the season with a host of other top European suitors also keen to sign him.[LNB]  Redknapp: Spurs need to spend big and Hazard has to be the No 1 targetEden for United? Then when other managers start seeing the players name popping up in french papers they jump on the band wagon! They never take the time to scout them properly just splash the cash but thats what football is all about now, and as all the players who leave their clubs for man city say " i going cuz i want to win things!" well done you've done amazing! ???????????[LNB]- adie, leicester, 19/3/2012 09:34[LNB]Click to rate  Rating (0)Report abuse[LNB]In fairness, they have the power, as did Liverpool, Arsenal, United before.Still got to get the team to play together, be motivated, I think Mancinis done well. Balotelli, Sliva, Aguero have all performed. You bet Mt Tevz is gonna come back to haunt United. That's football, this years theme. Next year, it'll be Liverpool back, Tottenham on fire, United gone to the dogs, Arsenal take title. I'm a United supporter, things change, but only for a year or two. Is that bad thing?[LNB]- Richard, Korea, 19/3/2012 09:34[LNB]Click to rate  Rating (0)Report abuse[LNB]The trouble is if he won't sign for City then its a mute point....There on course for a blankty blank season at the moment.[LNB]- ashenkorren, suffolk, 19/3/2012 09:33[LNB]Click to rate  Rating 1Report abuse[LNB]Its up to him where he goes of course, but he could join any number of top prem clubs or he could join City and take the mercenary route and do a 'Nasri', keeping the bench warm for when the really big games come around. Still, he's bank manager, and his wife/girlfriend will be happy.[LNB]- Andy Rolf - North Herts, Stretford End - Block W3106, 19/3/2012 09:30[LNB]Click to rate  Rating 1Report abuse[LNB]Let The Bidding war begin...... City's policy is look what the proper big clubs are looking at and just put ?10mil on top and an extra ?50k per week wages. This FFP is noting but a joke.[LNB]- The word, Manchester, 19/3/2012 09:14[LNB]Click to rate  Rating 2Report abuse[LNB]Despite what clubs are prepared to pay, players will only go to the club of THEIR choice.
