Dzeko repaying Mancini's faith in him

Manchester City striker Edin Dzeko has thanked Roberto Mancini for his support after his stuttering start to life in England.

The 25-year-old striker arrived at the Premier League side for a whopping £27million during the January transfer window but struggled to hit any kind of form in the final few months of last season.

However, he looks like a completely different player in his first three matches this season and scored four times in City's 5-1 win at Tottenham on Sunday to take his goal tally to six from just three games."I am happy that he kept faith with me," the Bosnia and Herzegovina international told the Premier League's official website."I think that's the most important thing in football - that the coach and the players around you believe in you."The beginning was hard for me, but I wanted to have a full pre-season with the team. Now I have had that and I know the league better. I feel much stronger than last season."Thinking about the Golden Boot is too far ahead. I don't think about that. I think every striker's dream is that but it's not the priority for me."
