Dunne wants City stay

Richard Dunne insists he does not expect to leave Manchester City as speculation persists that he may be surplus to requirements. The Republic of Ireland defender, 29, has been linked with a number of Premier League sides this summer and reports suggest Steve Bruce remains determined to take the player to Sunderland. However, Dunne says he wants to see out his contract at Eastlands and will only move on if he is told he is not needed. "Nothing has been said to me about leaving the club," he told the Daily Star Sunday. "I've got three years left on my contract and I am very happy. This is an exciting time at City. "There is a real competition for places and I'm prepared to fight for mine." He added: "I've heard that Aston Villa, Spurs, Sunderland, Arsenal and Stoke are all interested in me and that is very flattering, but I'll continue to do my best for the club until I'm told otherwise."
