Dunne eyes City challenge

Richard Dunne believes breaking into the top four is a realistic target for Manchester City this season. Mark Hughes has strengthened his squad considerably this summer, bringing in the likes of Gareth Barry, Carlos Tevez, Emmanuel Adebayor and Roque Santa Cruz. There is still over a month remaining of the transfer window and Dunne expects more reinforcements to arrive at Eastlands. The defender can understand the rocketing expectations and is confident City will qualify for the UEFA Champions League. "The amount of money the club is spending at the moment, it is reasonable that people expect us to be challenging the top four," he told Sky Sports News. "That is what we have to do this season, make sure it is a challenge and have a go at them. "As things stand we are still building a squad and hopefully when the season starts we will have a squad that is strong enough to challenge the top four."
