Diouf handed Tevez's old shirt as Fergie says he is ready for Man United debut

Sir Alex Ferguson is set to give Senegal striker Mame Biram Diouf his Manchester United debut.

Diouf signed for United in the summer but remained at Norwegian club Molde on loan until the end of their domestic campaign.

The 22-year-old has impressed in training and Ferguson signalled his intentions by allocating his new recruit the number 32 shirt, formerly worn by Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez.

'He has adapted very well to our training regime and has looked very impressive,' Ferguson told Inside United.

'He is quick, very good in the air and a good striker of the ball.Overall, he is a really good centre-forward and he will play a partthis season.'
