Paul Dickov believes there is no limit to what he can achieve at ... DONCASTER!

He has been appointed their new manager. The 40-year-old was named as Brian Flynn's successor on a one-year rolling contract at the Keepmoat Stadium after the Welshman opted to revert to his development role following Rovers' npower League One title-winning campaign.Dickov, who left Oldham in February, came out on top in a rigorous selection process and will lead the South Yorkshire outfit in the Championship next season. And the former Scotland international believes his new side will be able to compete in the second tier.Paul Dickov: "It's a challenge but a challenge I am going to embrace."I am a very positive person and without setting any specific targets we will go into next season with momentum and a lot of confidence to do really well."I don't think we can put a ceiling on what we can achieve. It's a fantastic club with fantastic people, it's stable and that is something that I have been striving for."I could say that our aim is to stay in the division but I think that sends out a negative vibe straight away."You have got to set your bar high and you never know what you can achieve."Yes, we are going to have to get players with a real good quality, but the feel-good factor is already there."For me it is exciting.

"This is something I feel ready for, I had two and a half years at Oldham which was fantastic for me, working to a strict budget and without a lot of resources."The stuff you learn from that is invaluable, I feel am I ready for this challenge."
