De Rossi staying at Roma, club insist
Italy international Daniele De Rossi will not leave Roma this summer, according to club technical director Bruno Conti.[LNB] The Roma midfielder has been linked with a move away from the Stadio Olimpico in recent seasons and reports in Italy claimed Roma had turned down a 45million euro bid from Manchester City earlier this month.[LNB]"De Rossi is not for sale," said Conti.[LNB]"In no eventual strategy in our market do we predict his possible sale."[LNB]City boss Roberto Mancini is a keen admirer of the 26-year-old, who turned down a move to Real Madrid last summer and is expected to be a starter in Marcello Lippi's World Cup squad.[LNB]
