De Jong states City ambition

Everybody's hoping so, but we're still in our first year and you have to be realistic as well," he told The People.[LNB]"We can all scream 'Manchester City are going for the title', but let us see how we develop.[LNB]"Of course it's good to go for a prize but we have to be realistic as well and say this is our first year."[LNB]Mark Hughes's side have started the campaign brightly, with 15 points from six games, and De Jong is pleased with how the team are progressing.[LNB]"We're doing well at the moment and the gap is not that big, but we're still at an early stage of both the season and the way the squad is building an understanding.[LNB]"The Villa game will be a good marker for the first phase of the season."[LNB]
