Manchester City will be without playmaker David Silva for the next two to three weeks with the hamstring injury suffered in the midweek Champions League clash with Real Madrid.

That rules the Spaniard out of this Sunday's Barclays Premier League trip to Southampton as well as next Wednesday's semi-final second leg against Real at the Bernabeu.

Midfielder Yaya Toure is back in training after a thigh injury but will not feature this weekend while forward Samir Nasri has recovered from a muscle problem and will be in the squad at St Mary's.

Provisional squad: Hart, Caballero, Zabaleta, Sagna, Kompany, Otamendi, Mangala, Demichelis, Kolarov, Clichy, Fernando, Fernandinho, Delph, Nasri, De Bruyne, Sterling, Navas, Aguero, Iheanacho, Bony.
