Warm welcome: Garrido is relishing Silva's arrival[LNB]Javier Garrido insists David Silva will have no problem making his mark in Manchester City's star-studded squad. [LNB]Spain international Silva signed on at Eastlands in a £24million move from Valencia earlier this summer and will be reunited with his friend Garrido. [LNB]The Spanish full-back, who has been at City since 2007, said: 'I've known David since I was 15 and he was 14. Because he was so good even then, he played in the year older than him. We played together at every level until Under 21. [LNB]'He then went to the national team, but he was always able to playaround older players. We know each other really well, and he called mebefore he signed to ask about the team and this club. [LNB]'Itold him that everything here is good, and my opinion is that this willbe a great move for him because there is already a great squad here, which I'm sure he will fit into. [LNB] 'He may not look big or strong, but he is a very clever player whoreads a game well. He's a great passer of the ball and he's dangerousnear the box. He is versatile as well - he can play in the middle orwide on the left, I'm certain he can well in England. [LNB]'He'llhave to learn that it's quite different playing here to playing inSpain - you need to work hard because players over here are stronger. [LNB]Recruitment drive: Silva has joined Roberto Mancini's big names at Eastlands[LNB]'But David has shown for Valencia and for Spain that he can play in the big, big games, and City having such good players will make it easier for him.' [LNB]Garrido, 26, is struggling with a calf injury as City prepare for the new Premier League season in the United States.[LNB] Manchester City strike £23m deal to land Inter Milan striker BalotelliWolfsburg boss McClaren fails in bid to sign Manchester City misfit BellamyCity finally set to tie up £17m Kolarov capture after overcoming Lazio hitchChelsea make £17m move for Santos starlet Neymar... but Brazilians say noMANCHESTER CITY FC
