Dances with Wolves: Who are the new boys taking on £200m Man City?

It's the £200m dream team against the new boys. Wolves have already won at Wigan and they will have a grand plan at City. But who are the old gold warriors taking on the new powerhouses of the league? NEIL MOXLEY caught up with injured Wolves winger Michael Kightly, plucked from non-League football, to give the low-down... WAYNE HENNESSEY (GOALKEEPER) ON the face of it, one of the quieter members of the group. But appearances can be deceptive. If anything goes missing in the dressing room, Wayne is one of the first names in the frame. You can tell it's him if your shoe has been stuck on a light fitting 10 feet up in the air. No one else can reach it. The Wales international does bite a bit if you chip him up in training, though. RICHARD STEARMAN (RIGHT BACK) BACK in the day, he used to fancy himself a bit with those blond locks. He definitely does something to colour his hair. Him and Andy Keogh are inseparable. I think they go to the hairdressers together. And there's nothing wrong with that, is there? Two fit young lads . . . sat in their curlers. A Wolverhampton lad who appreciates what it means for the club to be in the Barclays Premier League. JODY CRADDOCK (CENTRE BACK) THE well-travelled centre half is one of the senior boys. Most people know about his skills as an artist. All joking apart, some of his pictures are excellent and I even think he's got his own website now. Family man who finally let his hair down during a night out during pre-season in Australia. Watching him try to complete a set of weights the morning after was a sight in itself. MICHAEL MANCIENNE (CENTRE BACK) THE boys are still trying to work him out. I imagine the feeling is mutual. He's highly thought of in the dressing room following his spell on loan from Chelsea, but we've not heard too much banter from him yet. People have shied away from giving him too much stick about his hair. That could change. STEPHEN WARD (LEFT BACK) YOUNG Irishman his tender years. Has played up front, in midfield and has now found himself a home at left back. Gives off the impression that he's the nicest guy in the world. Until his temper goes that is. Then watch out for that Celtic tiger. Wears skinny jeans a lot. And definitely shouldn't. GREG HALFORD (WINGER) NICE lad who sometimes opens his mouth before he realises the consequences of what he's about to say - which is a big mistake in any dressing room. Sylvan Ebanks-Blake has been particularly merciless upon the newcomer. It's pointless having too much of a dig at him because you know another gaffe will be along shortly. Very defensive about the fact that his throw-in isn't as long as Rory Delap's at Stoke. DAVID EDWARDS (CENTRE MID) ANOTHER young Welshman. Another one with blond hair. Unlike Stearman and Keogh though, his is natural. Or so he reckons. I think he was born to run. Good athlete who does a lot of unselfish work. KARL HENRY (CENTRE MID) IF you want a discussion, then Wolverhampton Wanderers' very own Mr Argumentative is your man. He's a great captain, very vocal on and off the pitch. Very competitive, too, in any sporting arena. He's recently taken to table tennis and went to buy his own bat. Not only that, he has a pouch for it, there is also a little pocket attached to carry the ball around in. As you can imagine, the boys have had hours of fun with that one. NENAD MILIJAS (WINGER) OUR Serbian midfielder has been quiet so far. His English is pretty good but his gear is naughty. As the Serbian skipper he has a deal in place with Puma and wears his running shoes with every outfit. We have been pretty lenient on him so far but that will change. Not afraid to shoot, will score goals this season. MATT JARVIS (STRIKER) QUIETER than a church mouse. On the pitch, very quick. Was a handful last season. But it's difficult to say too much about 'Jarvo' because he gives so little away. ANDY KEOGH (STRIKER) ONE of my closest pals. But he can be very annoying. Will drop in to see the lads on the treatment table before he goes out training to throw a few choice tit-bits into the conversation, then leave before the flak starts flying. Was in charge of the fines last season. Didn't allow himself to be bullied. Christophe Berra might need to harden up now he's got the job. MICK McCARTHY (THE BOSS) I CAN'T have a dig at him, can I? The man who gave me my chance when he signed me from Grays Athletic. I, like a lot of the other lads, owe him a lot. We are glad he's got another crack at the Premier League. What you see is what you get. Places a lot of emphasis on hard work and standards. A true leader.
