Corinthians cofident of signing Carlos Tevez despite Manchester City rejecting £37m bid

Corinthians are refusing to up their bid for Carlos Tevez but believe they could still sign the striker from Manchester City before the the Brazilian transfer window closes on July 20.[LNB]City rejected a ?37million bid for their captain and privately insist they will not do business for less than ?50m.[LNB]However, Corinthians believe Tevez's desire to move to South America means they may yet get their man. They will again float the idea of a season-long loan if City refuse to budge on their valuation of Tevez.[LNB] Corinthian spirit? Tevez's former club is confident of completing the signing[LNB]Director of football Roberto de Andrade said: 'The rejection doesn't mean much. When a player wants one thing you cannot do the other.[LNB]'It is the player's will to play in South America again.
