City undecided on Carrico swoop
Manchester City are monitoring Sporting Lisbon defender Daniel Carrico amid similar interest from Juventus and Atletico Madrid.[LNB] The 22-year-old is under contract until 2013, but the number of clubs who are keeping track of his development suggests that a big-money move could soon materialise.[LNB]Roberto Mancini's City would be confident of outbidding Juventus and Atletico, and Eastlands technical director Mike Rigg has confirmed that Carrico is on the radar. [LNB]"We are always looking at players and I can't deny Carrico is an interesting player," Rigg told Portuguese newspaper Record. [LNB]"But we haven't decided on this subject and we are respectful as a club towards other clubs and contacts."
