City trio in England squad

Three City players have been named in the 23-man England squad for the World Cup finals. Goalkeeper Joe Hart, midfielder Gareth Barry and winger Saun Wright-Phillips have all been named in Fabio Capello's squad for the finals which begin in South Africa later this month. Adam Johnson, who was named in the provisional 30-man squad, has not made the final cut. Defenders: Jamie Carragher (Liverpool), Ashley Cole (Chelsea), Rio Ferdinand (Manchester United), Glen Johnson (Liverpool), Ledley King (Tottenham), John Terry (Chelsea), Matthew Upson (West Ham), Stephen Warnock (Aston Villa). Midfielders: Gareth Barry (Manchester City), Michael Carrick (Manchester United), Joe Cole (Chelsea), Steven Gerrard (Liverpool), Frank Lampard (Chelsea), Aaron Lennon (Tottenham), James Milner (Aston Villa), Shaun Wright-Phillips (Manchester City).
