City through despite scare

Robinho apparently signed off as a Manchester City player by securing the Blues' path into the fifth round of the FA Cup with a late strike in a 4-2 win over Scunthorpe at Glanford Park.

In what could be the Brazilian's last game for the club after Robinho revealed before the game he is set to join Santos on loan, he lifted the ball into the roof of the net to snuff out Scunthorpe's hopes after Cliff Byrne had reduced the deficit to 3-2 with the aid of a deflection off Dedryck Boyata.

Martin Petrov had given City a third-minute lead before Paul Hayes equalised on 29. Nedum Onuoha and Sylvinho with a stunning long-range strike put City back in command.
