Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has beaten off interest from Liverpool to sign Swindon teenager Alex Henshall for an undisclosed fee.[LNB] The 16-year-old, who made two substitute appearances for Danny Wilson's side last season, is part of the England youth set-up and regarded as one of the country's most promising youngsters.[LNB]And Robins chairman Andrew Fitton has revealed other Premier League clubs were interested in securing the highly-rated winger's services.[LNB]"They have come up with a deal which is good for all parties," Fitton told BBC Radio Wiltshire. "We've been approached by a number of Premiership sides and that includes a discussion with Liverpool."[LNB]Fitton hopes the deal can be the start of a good relationship with City which will allow some of their youngsters to enjoy loan spells at the County Ground.[LNB]"Part of the deal is an understanding about what we might do together in the future and a first refusal on him coming out on loan to us," he added. "He's a special talent but he's also young so he's got a lot of learning to do."
