City keen to land Roman

Espanyol have revealed that Manchester City have expressed an interest in Joan Angel Roman.[LNB] The teenage midfielder is regarded as one of Spain's hottest prospects and has drawn attention from a host of clubs.[LNB]City are the first to make their move, but Espanyol claim they are yet to receive a 'satisfactory offer' from the Premier League side.[LNB]The Spaniards have not ruled out a sale of the 16-year-old, but insist they will not part with the youngster for less than he is worth.[LNB]"Espanyol are still waiting to receive a satisfactory offer from Manchester City for the transfer of Joan Angel Roman," read a statement on the club's official website.[LNB]"The English team have shown themselves to be interested in the midfielder, but must follow the Fifa regulations, which stipulate that the clubs must have an agreement between them for the move to take place.[LNB]"It is reminded that in England a player cannot be a professional until he is 17 years old, which means the only way is an agreement between the clubs."[LNB]
