City hopeful over £38m Aguero

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini is hopeful a £38million deal to sign Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero can be sealed this week.[LNB] City are in advanced talks with the Spanish club about a deal for the Argentina international, who is one of Mancini's main summer transfer targets.[LNB]Aguero is looking to leave the Vincente Calderon and failed to return to training over the weekend after an early end to his Copa America campaign.[LNB]Real Madrid and Juventus have been credited with an interest in Aguero but Mancini hopes City will be his choice of destination.[LNB]Speaking after City's pre-season clash with LA Galaxy, Mancini said: "I don't know at the moment. The last news that I heard about Aguero was that the club was talking with Atletico Madrid.[LNB]"I think that maybe in four or five days, before the next game, I think that in this week maybe we can close. Maybe.[LNB]"Aguero played in Copa America. If we close the deal, I need to speak with him, because I want to know his opinion (of playing in Manchester)."
