City firepower impresses Law

Denis Law believes Manchester City are so well off for strikers, manager Mark Hughes could employ a 0-1-9 formation. The former Scotland forward, who wore the colours of Manchester United and City, has been astonished at Hughes' business in the transfer market. Emmanuel Adebayor, Carlos Tevez and Roque Santa Cruz have arrived in the summer. With Robinho and Craig Bellamy already on board, City are spoiled for choice. "They are making an effort to compete with the top guys and it will be very interesting to see what goes on," said Law at an ESPN-promotion. "It seems to be that they're buying a lot of forwards. It could be a 0-1-9 formation!" City are hoping to put pressure on the top four and Law added: "They are making a determined effort to get up there. They realise if they can do that, they're into Europe and that's what they really want. "I think we'll all be interested 10 weeks into the league to see how they do."
