City facing striker shortage

Manchester City look set to be without Sergio Aguero when they return to Premier League action against Aston Villa on Saturday.[LNB] Aguero is still struggling with the adductor strain he picked up during the 4-0 win at Blackburn and had already been ruled out of Argentina's World Cup qualifier against Venezuela.[LNB]Mario Balotelli also had to sit out Italy's games with a back injury but coach David Platt played down a situation that could leave Edin Dzeko as the only conventional striker available.[LNB]"We have plenty of ways of playing," Platt told the Manchester Evening News. "We have Yaya Toure, David Silva and Samir Nasri, three who can all work off the striker as well. [LNB]"Let's just concentrate on what we have available. We know we have a squad of players which means we can put a team out against anyone and make a good game of it."
