City deny Eto'o bid

Manchester City have denied making a bid for Samuel Eto'o, Sky Sports News understands.[LNB] The Barcelona striker has just 14-months left on his current deal at Camp Nou, and that has led to reports of an impending move to England.[LNB]It was claimed on Tuesday that City had opened talks with Barca about a proposed transfer in the summer.[LNB]It was reported that Barcelona president Joan Laporta had met with City executive chairman Garry Cook in London on Monday about a possible British record deal.[LNB]However, the Eastlands club have been quick to deny reports that they have lodged a bid for the Cameroon star.[LNB]
