City boss Hughes blasts Sturridge's advisors over striker's wage demands

Manchester City[LNB]'s contract talks with striker Daniel Sturridge have broken down after the 19-year-old's representatives asked for more than £60,000-a-week.[LNB]City boss Mark Hughes is keen to tie Sturridge to the club for the long-term but is adamant that the club will not be forced in to paying over the odds just because of its new found wealth.[LNB]Sturridge - who has made 11 appearances for City in all competition, netting five times - is understood to want parity with the likes of the influential Stephen Ireland, a demand City are unwilling to meet.[LNB] Top dollar: Sturridge's representatives have asked for £60,000-a-week[LNB]Hughes said last night: 'We want him to stay.
