Carlos Tevez reminded everyone that he is still the main man at Manchester City with two brilliant goals against Wolves that took his side above Manchester United to the top of the Premier League.[LNB]If all the pre-match attention focused on £27million debutant Edin Dzeko, it was captain Tevez who earned a standing ovation from City fans after his double in a 4-3 victory.[LNB] Star of the show: Carlos Tevez celebrates after scoring City's second goal[LNB]The slalom dribble around three defenders to put City 2-1 ahead was reminiscent of another famous goal from an Argentine, Ricky Villa's solo strike for Spurs against City in the 1981 FA Cup final.[LNB]And a poacher's header in the second half took Tevez, who handed in and later withdrew a transfer request earlier this season, level with United's Dimitar Berbatov as the PremierLeague's top scorer with 15.[LNB] Nice one, Carlos: Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini shakes hands with Carlos Tevez[LNB]City boss Roberto Mancini saluted Tevez's display but was angry that his side almost let a 4-1 lead slip in the closing stages.[LNB]'I am happy for Carlos,' he said. 'Hescored two fantastic goals and played well. It was his first game with Dzeko and they will need three or four games before they know each other's game properly. But it will be easy for them to play together as they are good players.[LNB]'Our problem was that we thought we had won the game at 4-1 and lost concentration.'[LNB] Looking good: Dzeko enjoyed a fine Manchester City debut at Eastlands[LNB]Even Wolves manager Mick McCarthy admitted: 'Sometimes you can't blame your defending and just say it was agreat goal.'[LNB]Dzeko also enjoyed a fine debut at Eastlands and helped to set up Yaya Toure for City's third goal.[LNB][LNB] Explore more:People: Carlos Tevez, Dimitar Berbatov, Edin Dzeko, Mick McCarthy, Roberto Mancini
