Tevez, who rejected a five-year contract at Old Trafford during the summer in order to seal a £160,000-a-week pay deal at Eastlands, is definitely out of Saturday's Premier League clash with Arsenal after being injured while on international duty with Argentina last week. The former West Ham forward remained in South America for treatment before returning to Manchester on Thursday, but the early signs are that he will miss out on the Manchester derby. City manager Mark Hughes remains hopeful, however, that Tevez will make a rapid recovery and prove his fitness in time for the United clash. Hughes said: "The Argentine medical people said it would be two or three weeks. We think it might be less than that but he is a doubt for the derby next week. "However, we will do everything in our power to get him fit because, for obvious reasons, he would love to play in that match." Tevez's absence against Arsenal could be compounded by an injury to Robinho, who is struggling to beat an ankle injury in order to face the Gunners. The Brazilian has undergone a scan on the and Hughes admits that the club are hoping that Robinho has not suffered a stress fracture. Hughes said: "He had a little bit of swelling on the ankle. We do not think there is a significant injury there but it is best to check to make sure there is no stress fracture. "Once we get the results we can decide whether he plays tomorrow or not."
