Cardiff director Steve Borley has praised the club's Malaysian investors and Manchester City for their role in Craig Bellamy's loan switch.[LNB] Bellamy had fallen out of favour in Manchester, despite being one of the Premier League side's top performers last season, and agreed a one-year loan deal with Cardiff earlier this week.[LNB]Borley has hailed his arrival in the Welsh capital as his club's biggest signing since the arrival of the legendary John Charles nearly half a century ago.[LNB]He told the South Wales Echo: "Craig has shown there can be loyalty in football. It's a rarity for a player to sign for his home city club simply because he wants to and not for any financial consideration. Manchester City, too, have been fantastic in this. They certainly played their part.[LNB]"And the Malaysians have put down a marker which shows everybody they are in this for the long haul. They put their investment and status behind the club in the bid to sign Craig.[LNB]"This is the biggest signing for City since John Charles during the 1960s. Robbie Fowler and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink were at the end of their careers when they came to Cardiff City but Craig was one of the best players in the Premier League and Europe last season."
