Seeing Red: Carlos Tevez gestures as he celebrates scoring against Manchester United on Tuesday[LNB]Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini believes Carlos Tevez will have the right mindset on Wednesday when he returns to Old Trafford in the Carling Cup semi-final second leg.   [LNB]City hold a 2-1 advantage thanks to a brace from the Argentina striker, who was involved in touchline spat with former Manchester United team-mate Gary Neville following his opener.   [LNB]Tevez then described the United captain as an 'idiot' and a 'boot-licker' after the first leg.   [LNB]Mancini has now tried to take the heat out of the situation and told Tevez not to make further remarks about Neville.   [LNB]He said: 'I think Carlos will be calm in the next game against United. He will think only of how he is playing and how the team is doing.   [LNB]'I think these things (Tevez's comments) can sometimes happen after a match. The players are tired and sometimes they do not think what they are saying.   [LNB]'It is important that this matter is finished now as we need to focus on our next game.'[LNB]Retaliation: Gary Neville gestures at Tevez[LNB]Mancini sidestepped questions about the club becoming 'the biggest and best in the world'. The remarks were apparently made by chief executive Garry Cook at a fans forum in New York.   [LNB]According to Sky Sports News, Cook said: 'This football club is, without doubt, going to be the biggest and best football club in the world. I will make no excuses for saying it, as I truly believe it - with the resources and capabilities we have.'[LNB]Mancini's ambition, for the moment, stretches only in breaking into the elite in England and bringing silverware to Eastlands. He said: 'We have a big possibility. But we must work well in the next month as we want to arrive in the top four.  [LNB] 'We have some problems with injury but in the future Manchester City can be a good team.' [LNB] Next up are Coca-Cola Championship side Scunthorpe in the FA Cup on Sunday and Mancini has told his side to be on their guard.   [LNB]He hopes his team do not go the way of Manchester United and Liverpool, who lost to lower league teams in the last round.   [LNB]Mancini added: 'I know City beat Scunthorpe in the Carling Cup but we need to have the right mentality.   [LNB] On the spot: Tevez scores past Edwin Van der Sar at Eastlands[LNB]'It will be difficult on a small pitch and they will be strong. I have seen Scunthorpe on video.   [LNB]'The FA Cup is important to us and we want to progress. We must remember what happened to Liverpool against Reading and Manchester United against Leeds.'[LNB]Midfielder Stephen Ireland is likely to return to the team after being on the bench in midweek following his recovery from injury.   [LNB]Roque Santa Cruz and recent signing Patrick Vieira are both sidelined with calf injuries.  [LNB] Cook: Manchester City will replace United as the biggest club in the worldUnited boss Sir Alex doesn't care for Neville's row with tormentor Tevez DES KELLY: Cool it, Tev and Nev - and that can't get lost in translationMANCHESTER CITY FC
