Dzeko spent a successful spell with Wolfsburg prior to joing City in 2011, where the Bosnian scored 66 goals in 111 appearances for.
However, the Bosnian international denied reports suggesting a move to current German champions Borussia Dortmund was imminent.
Edin Dzeko: “I love the Bundesliga and I will return to the Bundesliga. I can just not say when I will return.
“I have still two years (on my) contract. We will see, what happens.
"Dortmund can reach the Champions League final.
“I am sure that they will reach the final. I wish it to them.
“A team that plays that good in a group with Real Madrid and us can beat everyone.”
