Craig Bellamy may not always have set the right example off the field during his colourful career, but his attitude to his football has never been in doubt. Yesterday he managed to hit the perfect note as he prepared to face Hamburg in the first leg of the UEFA Cup quarter-final tonight. On a day when Manchester City team-mate Robinho again ignored club dress policy by travelling to Germany in training shoes, Bellamy revealed he would be happy to clean football boots just to extend his career at the club he joined in January.'I want to be part of this club's journey right from the start and when I am retired and seeing City competing for Champions Leagues, I want to know deep down that I was part of it from the early stages,' said Bellamy.[LNB][LNB] Best foot forward: Striker Craig Bellamy wants to establish City as a top six team[LNB]'That will give me great satisfaction. This was such a big test for me,I couldn't shy away from here. You can't become a top-four sideovernight, but City will hopefully get there one day. Where that leavesme, I don't know. But the aim is to do as well as I can and establishthis club in the top six.[LNB]'Then, hopefully, to hang in there when better players come along. Then, if they need someone to clean their boots, I'll do that as well![LNB]At just 29, Bellamy may have a little longer at the top level than hemodestly suggests. Even if he does continue to be troubled by problemsin his knees, City manager Mark Hughes did not invest £12million for aplayer who will only be around for a couple of years.[LNB] Manchester City's Robinho will face no charges over sexual assault allegationsManchester City boosted by Petrov's return ahead of UEFA Cup clash in HamburgMANCHESTER CITY FC
