Blues head for Hart

Birmingham appear to be leading the hunt to capture Manchester City keeper Joe Hart on a season-long loan deal. The promising 22-year-old is set to leave Eastlands after losing his first-team place to the more experienced Shay Given, following his arrival in the January transfer window. Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has already been in touch and is thought to be keen to install Hart as his first-choice ahead of Maik Taylor. And City manager Mark Hughes admits he is seriously considering allowing the England U21 keeper to temporarily move on. Hughes said: "It is something we are looking at. "It might benefit Joe because it would give him the chance to play on a more regular basis. "That in itself would help his development. It is something we are seriously considering and it might well happen."
