Blades strike Evans deal

Sheffield United have agreed a fee with Manchester City for Ched Evans, Sky Sports News understands. The Blades have been targeting the Wales international all summer and they finally look to have got their man. Evans has come through the famed youth system at Eastlands, but he is way down the pecking order following the arrivals of Roque Santa Cruz, Emmanuel Adebayor and Carlos Tevez this summer. Now he looks to be on his way to Bramall Lane after a fee in the region of £3million was agreed. The Blades, who pocketed more than £10million from the sale of defensive starlets Kyle Naughton and Kyle Walker to Tottenham earlier this week, will look to conclude the deal for Evans within the next few days.
