Bellamy's a 'vicious thug', claims derby pitch invader as striker faces ban
The pitch invader who was 'slapped' by Craig Bellamy during the Manchester derby has branded the City striker a 'vicious thug'.
Jake Joseph Clarke, 21, ran on to the Old Trafford pitch after Michael Owen scored a late, late winner for United. The Wales international took exception to the intrusion and appeared to lash out at Clarke as he was apprehended by three stewards.
Greater Manchester Police have charged Clarke, of Chorley, Lancs,for 'going on to a playing area without lawful authority or excuse' andhe will appear before Trafford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday September 30.
