Bellamy missing for Wales

Craig Bellamy has not linked up with the Wales squad ahead of Wednesday's friendly in Montenegro and it is unclear why he is missing. The Manchester City striker was scheduled to arrive at the team hotel in Cardiff on Sunday night but failed to turn up. He was still absent as the squad headed to the airport on Monday morning and the Football Association of Wales has had no contact with the 30-year-old. "The player and club were notified about the game some while ago, but last night we had not heard from either the player or the club," said an FAW spokesman said. "The same applies to this morning, we just hope the player is all right." Man City manager Mark Hughes was understood to be unhappy with Bellamy's selection in the Wales squad as he is still recovering from a knee injury. Bellamy, who has not played for his country since February, scored the winner in Man City's 2-1 victory over Celtic on Saturday.
