Bellamy expecting more arrivals

Manchester City striker Craig Bellamy has conceded he fully expects the ambitious club to sign better players than himself.[LNB] Bellamy only joined the Eastlands outfit for £10million in January from West Ham as manager Mark Hughes bolstered his attacking options.[LNB]The Welsh firebrand is on a mission to guide the club into the Premier League's top six as soon as possible, although he already fears his place could be under threat.[LNB]The former Hammers, Blackburn and Newcastle marksman knows City will undoubtedly splash the cash as they did last summer in acquiring Robinho, as they look to build a squad capable of challenging for the title.[LNB]Top six"The aim is to do as well as I can and establish this club in the top six," admitted Bellamy. "Then, hopefully, to hang in there when better players come along. [LNB]"Then, if they need someone to clean their boots, I will do that as well! I am at my peak and City are going to get a couple of years out of me at my absolute top.[LNB]"When I am retired and seeing City competing for UEFA Champions Leagues, I want to know deep down that I was part of it from the early stages. That will give me great satisfaction."[LNB]City's displays have been inconsistent at best this term and Bellamy believes the club's well-paid stars should accept criticism when it comes their way.[LNB]Have a goHe said: "If people don't play well then we should expect others to have a go at them. You have no choice but to show fire in the belly and that is all we want from one another. [LNB]"We need to show that kind of attitude everywhere we go because there is no doubt whatsoever that we have the ability to worry any sides. [LNB]"We have a bright attack, but we haven't got that physical presence that we need in the Premier League from time to time. [LNB]"The best teams in the world are not just great when they have got the ball, but when they lose possession they work just as hard and go and get it back straight away."[LNB]
