David Beckham expects John Terry to ignore the advances of Manchester City in order to stay at Chelsea.[LNB] Blues and England skipper Terry has been strongly linked with a move to Eastlands as City boss Mark Hughes is said to be preparing a £35million bid after already failing with two offers in the past.[LNB]There has been speculation that the centre-back could consider leaving Stamford Bridge in search of a new challenge, while rumours have suggested Chelsea could opt to sell a player who has suffered from injuries over recent seasons.[LNB]But LA Galaxy midfielder Beckham does not believe England team-mate Terry will want to leave a club he is synonymous with after rising through the West London outfit's youth ranks.[LNB]HurtHe said in The Times: "I don't think JT will move because he's Chelsea through and through.[LNB]"We'll have to wait and see what happens, but I think he'll stay at Chelsea because they won't want to lose him."[LNB]Beckham points to his own experience of leaving Manchester United for Real Madrid in 2003 as a reason for Terry to reject the lure of City.[LNB]"I would never have gone to another English club from Manchester United," said the 34-year-old.[LNB]"At the time I didn't even want to leave Manchester United, but once I left there I had to go to somewhere on a par with United - or as close as possible to Manchester United - and that was Real Madrid in my eyes. Things can change very quickly."[LNB]He added: "From the moment I left to now, I've always said that I always wanted to stay at Manchester United for my whole career. I missed it. I couldn't even bear to watch Manchester United on the TV for the first three years after leaving, just because it hurt me a lot."[LNB]HappinessThere have been reports that Terry could be tempted by a possible £200,000-a-week contract in Manchester, but Beckham does not feel his international colleague is motivated by money.[LNB]"The happiness is the biggest thing," he said. "If you've got passion to play for the club you're at, and if you're at the club you always wanted to be at, then that goes beyond any money. [LNB]"JT's like that. He's passionate about football, not passionate about money. He'll decide what's best for his football career.[LNB]"You don't become England captain being greedy. You become it because you're passionate about the game."[LNB]
