Julio Baptista wants to remain at Roma despite reports linking him with a move to England. The 27-year-old joined the Eternal City outfit last summer from Real Madrid and has scored nine times in 27 Serie A appearances. Baptista, a former Arsenal forward, is a reported target of Manchester City but plans to stay at Roma. "I am not thinking about leaving Roma," said Baptista, who is with Brazil at the Confederations Cup in South Africa. "I signed a four-year contract with Roma and I want to remain and help the team do better with respect to last season. "Our aim will be to return to the UEFA Champions League." Meanwhile, Simone Perrotta is also keen to remain at Roma, amid reports that a summer exit could be in the offing. "Simone's desire, as we have said for some period, is to remain at Roma," said agent Giuseppe Bozzo. "However, we can't rule out a transfer at this stage. "We will evaluate any eventual options that we are given with Roma, but it will depend on what clubs make an approach." Elsewhere, experienced defender Christian Panucci's agent has claimed Parma are interested in his services. "It's true that Parma have come forward," said Oscar Damiani. "We did meet up with them and we will have further talks with them. "Parma have made it clear to us that Christian would be an important part of the team's structure. "There's nothing new to report officially and we are just evaluating a few different scenarios. A decision may be made by the end of the week."
